This initiative aims to increase public awareness and positively shape public perception of the EFCC's mission.

The proposal was introduced during a courtesy visit by AMP's National President, Amb. Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, accompanied by key figures from AMP’s Federal Capital Territory chapter. The AMP delegation met with EFCC Secretary Muhammad Hammajoda and senior officials, including Nwanyinma Okeanu, Deputy Director and Head of EFCC Radio, Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity, among others.

During the meeting, Dr. Ebigieson underscored Nollywood's power to convey impactful messages through entertainment, suggesting that a collaboration with EFCC could amplify anti-corruption narratives, reaching millions of Nigerians. She proposed training for AMP members to equip them with a deeper understanding of EFCC's work, enabling them to create authentic, mission-driven content.

Representing over 10,000 members across 28 states, AMP has long advocated for industry standards and the responsible use of storytelling to address societal challenges. “The entertainment industry has a unique role in shaping societal perceptions, and AMP is eager to champion the message of integrity alongside the EFCC,” Dr. Ebigieson said.

EFCC Secretary Hammajoda praised the proposal, recognizing the value of using local media to counter negative portrayals of Nigeria often seen in foreign outlets. He acknowledged that with a workforce of around 4,500, the EFCC faces challenges in reaching Nigeria's vast population, making partnerships like this essential. While EFCC’s advocacy budget is limited, Hammajoda expressed hope for a mutually beneficial collaboration with AMP.

As a gesture of support, EFCC appointed Dr. Ebigieson as an Anti-Corruption Ambassador, reinforcing the alliance's commitment to promoting integrity in Nigeria.
